"As a mother of five beautiful children, I was fortunate to have been able to stay home for several years and to nurture them and watch my children grow.  I have been teaching at Shoreline Acres for three years and am taking classes in Early Childhood Education at the College of Marin. What I enjoy most about working with children is the feeling of community that I see developing between parents, children and teachers."

"I am the Director and a Teacher at Shoreline Acres. My passion is early childhood education. I believe strongly that childhood should be a magical time filled with play and learning. I love to create a warm inviting place for children to come and explore. I am a mother of three boys and have twenty years in the field of Early Childhood Education. I have a B.A. in Organizational Management, an A.S. in Early Childhood Education

To provide a nurturing, supportive, all-inclusive environment in which our children, parents and staff work cooperatively to provide a program aimed at broadening and enriching the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and creative development of our community's children in an effort to prepare them for early success and school readiness.

Shoreline Acres Preschool

Non-Profit Preschool in Tomales, CA

Since we are a co-operative preschool, or a co-op, parents have an unusual opportunity to experience their child's first school with them.  Our child to parent or teacher ratio is 6:1. Each family takes turns being the parent teacher (PT) on a rotating schedule prepared by the Director.  Parent teachers assist the Director/Teacher in a variety of ways in the classroom.  If your family is unable to participate in parent teaching there is a non-parent teaching option available to a limited number of students.
